Songwriter Kostas Virvos passed away on Thursday. He was 89. Having penned over 2,000 songs, Virvos was born in Trikala. One of the leading representatives of the laiko genre, Virvos’ songs have been sung by many of Greece’s greats: Stelios Kazantzidis, George Dalaras, Grigoris Bithikotsis.
